On August 11, the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games will take place at the Stade de France, from approximately 21 p.m. to 23:15 p.m. With the activation of security perimeters and the flow of spectators, impacts are expected on public transport and on the roads. If you have to travel that day, what should you anticipate?

Closing ceremony: security perimeters in Saint-Denis
The closing ceremony of the Olympic Games takes place at Stade de France in Saint-Denis and will complete two weeks of Olympic athlete trials.
Security perimeters similar to the perimeters securing competition venues will be activated with traffic restrictions to be expected throughout the area around the stadium, whether on roads and bridges, as well as crowds on public transport.
Where are the security perimeters located?
They are activated at the Olympic and Paralympic village, as well as around the Stade de France and the Aquatic Center.

On the morning of August 11, the red perimeter to secure the marathon event will be in place until 13 p.m. It may impact you if you travel in particular to Paris, Yvelines and the south of Hauts-de-Seine, but it does not directly affect the Saint-Denis sector.

Which sections of road are impacted?
The Autoroute du Nord and Avenue du Président Wilson up to the outer ring road are impacted by:
- an Olympic way, that is to say a lane reserved for accredited vehicles and prohibited to the circulation of other vehicles, the other lanes are accessible to all users;
- an Olympic route, i.e. a recommended route for official Games shuttles, which may cause delays.

How to travel on the motorway and ring roads on D-Day?
You will be able to continue to travel on the motorways and ring roads around Saint-Denis, but we advise you to avoid as much as possible from 18 p.m., to avoid the crowds of spectators and official delegations going to the Stade de France.
Public transport: what impacts to expect?
Several lines will be impacted on August 11 between 18 p.m. and 23 p.m. by the use of participants in the ceremony going to the Stade de France. Here are our tips for your public transport journeys between Paris intramuros and Saint-Denis.

If you have to pass through these stations, we advise you to take transport before 17 p.m. Between 17 p.m. and 20 p.m., the waiting time to access the platform may be longer due to crowds.
