Assembly and dismantling of temporary Olympic and Paralympic venues

The competition venues will be temporary in Paris to host events during the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. These sites require an assembly phase (from March 2024) and a time for dismantling the site (until November 2024).

Concord

The assembly of the site will take place from March 1 to July 15. Disassembly will take place from August 29 to October 30. 

Impacts on your travels are to be expected.

  • April 26: traffic closure on Cours de la Reine between Winston-Churchill Avenue and Franklin-D-Roosevelt Avenue
  • 17 may: closure to traffic of the north-south axis 
  • June 1st : closure of traffic to vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists on Place de la Concorde
  • 15 July: closure of the Pont Royal to traffic
  • From August 29 to October 30: gradual release of the area

From May 17 to September 21: line 12, closure of Concorde station

From June 17 to September 1: 

  • lines 1 and 8, closure of Concorde station, 
  • line 1 closure of Tuileries station

  • 4 March: start of assembly, closure of Place Jacques-Rueff and Avenue Joseph-Boulard to vehicles and pedestrians
  • April 12: closure of Place Gouraud 
  • 3 June: almost complete closure of the Champ-de-Mars gardens 
  • 24 July: closure to traffic of the Jacques-Chirac quay
  • From September 19 to November 4: gradual release of the area

 

Trocadero

The assembly of the site will take place from March 20 to July 21. The dismantling of the site will take place from July 27 to October 8. 

Impacts on your travels are to be expected.

20 March: 

  • Northern part of Warsaw Square closed to traffic
  • One-way traffic on Avenue des Nations-Unies 
  • Gradual closure of the Trocadéro gardens

May 1: 

  • A single lane of traffic on Avenue du Président-Wilson in both directions 
  • Closure of the southern roadway of Place du Trocadéro

10 June: 

  • Closure of Avenue des Nations-Unies to vehicle and pedestrian traffic

1st of July : 

  • Closure of the Trocadéro gardens
  • Closure to traffic (vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles) of Avenue Albert-de-Mun and the south of Avenue Wilson (between Albert-de-Mun and Place d'Iéna) 

16 July: 

  • Closure to traffic (motorized vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles) of Place du Trocadéro and the Pont d'Iéna

21 July: 

  • Closure to vehicle traffic of Quai Jacques-Chirac (between avenues Suffren and Bourdonnais), the underground remains open to traffic

From July 27 to October 8: gradual release of the area

 

Invalides

The assembly of the site will take place from April 12 to June 17. The dismantling of the site will take place from September 18 to October 30. 

Impacts on your travels are to be expected.

  • April 12: closure to traffic of rue Saint-Dominique between avenue Gallieni and rue de Constantine and between rue Fabert and rue Constantine
  • 17 may: closure of avenue Gallieni 
  • 30 may: closure of the Bleuet-de-France roundabout, maintenance of traffic in both directions on rue de Grenelle (with narrowing of the lanes) 
  • 17 June: closure of rue de l'Université between Fabert and Constantine
  • From September 18 to October 30: liberation of the area

 

Grand Palace - Alexander III

The assembly of the site will take place from April 26 to June 3. The dismantling of the site will take place from September 12 to October 26. 

Impacts on your travels are to be expected.

  • April 26: start of assembly on the Cours La-Reine, closure between the Invalides and Alexandre-III bridges
  • 17 may: closure of the Alexandre-III bridge to vehicle traffic (pedestrian traffic maintained on the upstream sidewalk) 
  • 20 may: closure of the Champs-Élysées port 
  • 3 June: closure of the port of Invalides during assembly (until June 10)

From 20/07 to 11/08 then from 22/08 to 08/09: closure of the Champs - Elysées - Clémenceau station (lines 1 and 13).

  • April 26: start of assembly on the Cours La-Reine, closure between the Invalides and Alexandre-III bridges
  • 17 may: closure of the Alexandre-III bridge to vehicle traffic (pedestrian traffic maintained on the upstream sidewalk)
