The safety perimeter for road events

The rules in force in the red perimeters of road events are a little different from the rules in force on the red perimeters of fixed competition venues.

Para-cycling event from September 3 to 7 in Seine-Saint-Denis

All travel by motorized vehicles in the area will be subject to obtaining a Games Pass. We recommend that you make your request as soon as possible in order to receive your pass on time. Details of the route, click here.

  • The perimeter is activated 3 hours before the start of the event and up to 15 minutes after the last athlete has passed.
  • As soon as the perimeter is activated, the ban on the circulation of all motorized vehicles is effective.
  • The only possible exemptions will be granted only to local residents, professionals requiring travel and emergency situations. These exceptional authorizations can be issued on a case-by-case basis by the police forces at the entrance to the perimeter.
  • Residents of the area will be able to travel there at the latest 1h30 before the start of the test.
  • The device will be released gradually 15 minutes after the last competitor has passed through each zone. The closer you are to the starting point of the race, the less you will have to wait to be able to drive your car again.
  • Note that this perimeter will probably be very busy on D-day, in particular at the entrance to the perimeter where checks are carried out. Crossing points for motorized vehicles will be announced soon.
  • Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to circulate within the red perimeter. Pedestrian crossing points allowing people to cross the race route will soon be defined by the police headquarters. The police may allow people to cross the race route depending on the progress of the event, so as not to disturb the athletes. These crossing points are also likely to be very busy.
