Vaires-sur-Marne - Impacts on the road
Find here all the information you need for your travels in the Vaires-sur-Marne area: competitions, traffic plans around the site, forecast crowds at the station, advice on how to best organize your travels.
The Vaires-sur-Marne nautical stadium will host the rowing and canoe-kayak events during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Up to 30 spectators per day are expected from July 000 to August 27, then from 10 August to September 30.
By nature, the competitions taking place on the Vaires-sur-Marne site are likely to be postponed depending on climatic conditions.
In addition, 3 reserve days have been identified in the event of postponement of the test: these are August 4 and 11 and September 2.

You live or work near a competition site: the Games will have an impact on your usual travel.
- Promote teleworking for eligible people who are not on leave during the period
If you have to travel:
- Favor traveling on foot or by bike for short distances
Promote carpooling to reduce the number of vehicles on long-distance roads
The restrictions put in place on the roads in the Vaires-Torcy sector:
- The establishment of security perimeters will no longer allow the crossing of the Marne by the Vaires bridge (RD34a)
- The Boulevards de la Marne and de Lorraine in Vaires-sur-Marne will be pedestrianized from July 18.
- The RD 34a will be closed to motorized traffic from the Brico Dépôt car park in Chelles to the Carriers roundabout from July 15.
- Between the Carriers and Cantines roundabouts it will be reserved for Olympic traffic during the day and open to traffic at night. The same will apply to the RD10p from the motorway exit to the Cantines roundabout. Please note that exit 10 of the A104 will be closed.
=> Parking of any vehicle along these roads is prohibited from July 12, 2024 at 6:30 a.m. to September 13, 2024 at 17:00 p.m.
=> Traffic is prohibited:
- from July 27, 2024 to August 5, 2024, every day from 6:30 a.m. to 21:00 p.m.
- from August 6, 2024 to August 11, 2024, every day from 6:30 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.
And during the Paralympic Games:
- from August 30, 2024 to September 1, 2024 every day from 7:00 a.m. to 15:30 p.m.
- from September 6, 2024 to September 8, 2024, every day from 7:00 a.m. to 15:30 p.m.
- The RD 10p in Noisiel will not be recommended for traffic.
The establishment of security perimeters will be accompanied by a parking ban
- Boulevard de la Marne and Boulevard de Lorraine: from July 18 to Sunday August 11 then from Wednesday August 28 to Sunday September 1 and from Wednesday September 4 to Sunday September 8
- RD34a between the Brico Dépôt car park and the Carriers roundabout: from July 15 to September 13 inclusive
- RD34a between the Carriers roundabout and the Cantines roundabout: from July 20 to September 8 inclusive
- RD10p between the Cantines roundabout and the RD418 roundabout: from July 20 to September 8 inclusive
For short distance travel, cycling is an ideal option.

Special slots have been set up for delivery vehicles and heavy maintenance operations around the competition sites. These slots do not concern emergency interventions, nor access for residents and workers in the area.
